What’s your style?

I love to pay close attention to detail and create artistic portraiture from moments that may be overlooked by others.  For your wedding, I make sure to provide all that is necessary to make your parents happy and traditional portraits of family are a must.  The rest, I capture in photo-journalistic style with touches of candid magic.  I also provide direction to my couples during our one-on-one session, yet in a way that will feel natural, relaxed, and fun!  Alone, away from the crowds, we can take one to two hours in creating gorgeous portraiture.  This is usually done before the ceremony or directly after it.

I also believe that the key to capturing the best images and moments of your wedding is to first spend time with you both intimately beforehand over drinks or dinner and learn about the two of you, your desires, and your story.  This way we are comfortable with each other and I find it removes inhibitions when you’re in front of my lens.

 

What equipment do you use? 

I use top-of- the-line Canon 5D Mark iii full frame camera body and several professional L-series lenses, including telephoto zoom, wide angle, and portraiture lenses.  All lenses come in handy at different moments during your event to make sure we’re getting the best capture possible.  Plus, I always carry a backup Canon camera body in case of emergency or for rapid lens switching.

However, I am a firm believer that when choosing the photographer for one of the most important moments in your lives, it is key to meet in person to ensure you feel comfortable working together as they will be the most intimate with you of all your wedding vendors.  Please don’t hesitate to set up an in-person consultation with me as it’s free and there is never any obligation to use my services.

I currently reside in Morgan Hill, California and am available to meet with you at a local cafe within the South Bay. If you are not from the area, we can set up a video call through Skype, and find a time that is convenient for you.

 

If necessary, how do we arrange your travel? 

I will book airfare and rental car (if needed) after you have approved the price for myself and the second shooter. We always look for the least expensive option that is also convenient for both you and us. For hotel, we ask that you reserve a room for us in the host hotel where all the other guests are staying. All travel expenses are reimbursed after the wedding. For engagement sessions, I am happy to come to your town or meet you at a fabulous destination of your choice. Please contact me for specific information.

When will we see our photographs?

I will begin post-processing the day after your event. The amount of time to be completed is an average of  6 weeks. I know how exciting it is to want to share and see some first images, and I love to provide sneak peeks of a highlighted moments via social media. Once the full gallery of your event is complete, you will receive an email from me with a link to your online gallery where you, friends, and family can view, share, and print from. If you have ordered wedding album packages, you would receive a digital proof for review at this time .

 

How do we hire you?

Once you have chosen me to be your wedding photographer and your wedding date is available, we will meet again to discuss any other questions, ideas and/or desires you may have.  I will then provide you the written contract to sign and will require an initial deposit of 50% of the total price to secure your date. I accept payments in the form of cash, check, or credit card. The final balance will be due no later than 10 days prior to actual wedding day.  Congratulations!
